We offer outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic lumbar punctures. For this purpose, we ask you to ask defined questions and provide us with specific suspected diagnoses. These suspected diagnoses include

Chronic inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system, including multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum diseases, or MOG-IgG-associated diseases

• Autoantibody-mediated encephalitis
• Pathogen-mediated diseases of the central nervous system (neuroborreliosis, neurolues, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy)
• Inflammatory polyneuropathies
• Idiopathic intracranial hypertension

We will then send you the results and evaluation of the cerebrospinal fluid examination.

We kindly ask you to bring::

• current doctor's letter with suspected diagnosis and questions regarding the lumbar puncture,
• consent form for lumbar puncture signed by the patient,
• current coagulation parameters,
• current medication plan.
