Notfallmäßige Einweisung aufgrund des Verdachts auf einen Schlaganfall
All patients with or suspected of having a stroke are admitted via the Central Emergency Department (ZNA) at Magdeburg University Hospital (UKMD).
Advance information speeds up time-critical emergency treatment considerably:
.The presentation in the ZNA guarantees immediate neurological examination, instrumental diagnostics, emergency treatment and inpatient admission to a UKMD ward (stroke unit, intensive care unit, others) adapted to the individual disease constellation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The immediate transfer of externally generated CT/CTA images from your hospital's radiology department to the UKMD allows us to assess and plan further treatment while the stroke unit is being informed in advance by telephone, which means that a repeat CT/CTA diagnosis in the UKMD's ZNA may not be necessary.
Regardless of the acute emergency, please contact the UKMD IT employee named below to find out about setting up a secure Internet connection between the PACS of your radiology department and a server set up for this purpose in the UKMD and to set up such a connection.
